Monday
I got shown around the kitchen and told how everything works.
I helped weigh out ingredients for the mint choc chip gelato and labelled tubs for it.

Ice cream and sorbet can be delicious on their own, but they can also really bring out the best in other desserts. Here our tangy orange sorbet cuts through the rich silkiness of a chocolate tart beautifully.
This is Bah Humbug! It is a caramel gelato gently flavoured with pure peppermint oil from Summerdown Farm to recreate that familiar flavour of the old-fashioned boiled sweet. It is delicious on its own, but is also really good with a fudgy brownie, like the one here.
It's apple season, and there's nothing more delicious than an apple tart. This one here is so pretty, with the apple slices arranged to look like roses. I use store-bought puff pastry, It isn't difficult to make and makes a great impression.
