From Monday August 11th 2025, we’re welcoming West Dorset Wilding to our Broad Street shop in Lyme Regis for a very special shopfront takeover and community collaboration!
🌿 Who Are West Dorset Wilding?
West Dorset Wilding is a fantastic local initiative working to restore and protect nature right here in our corner of the world. Through rewilding projects, community action, and nature-based education, they’re helping to bring back wildlife, reconnect habitats, and inspire people of all ages to get involved in the natural world.
From hedgerows to riverbanks, schools to villages, their work is making a real and lasting impact across Dorset.
🍨 Damson Ripple: Gelato for a Cause
To celebrate this collaboration, we’ve created a limited-edition Damson Ripple gelato – a tangy, rich, and deliciously fruity flavour made to mark the moment.
We always source our damsons locally, supporting traditional orchards and small-scale growers. A couple of years ago, our fruit came from a beautiful ancient walled garden in Little Bredy. When that orchard didn’t have a crop last year, we turned to our local community – and thanks to them, we still had enough to make this flavour happen. It’s a true taste of Dorset, through and through.
Every scoop sold this week will be donated directly to support West Dorset Wilding's incredible work. That means your treat is doing more than just tasting good – it’s helping restore wild habitats, fund education programs, and strengthen community conservation.
