A Golden Week: Baboo Gelato Shines at the Taste of the West Awards
Two weeks ago we were over the moon to share that Baboo Gelato’s Mint Choc Chip Gelato and Crystallised Ginger Gelato each earned coveted 3-Star medals at the 2025 Great Taste Awards — the highest accolade from the UK’s most respected food judges.
Now the good news keeps coming. Last week we heard from the Taste of the West Awards and… we’ve scooped a cartful of medals!
That’s nine medals in total — eight Golds and one Silver — with our Mint Choc Chip and Crystallised Ginger following up their Great Taste triumphs with Taste of the West Golds too. We’re thrilled that both national and regional judges are loving the flavours you already tell us are firm favourites.
Why this matters
Taste of the West celebrates the very best producers from our region. For our team, these medals recognise everything that goes into each scoop: carefully sourced ingredients, small-batch artisanal methods, and a lot of love (plus a little obsession) for balance, texture and lingering flavour.
