It's our 10th birthday.
Ten years ago this month, Annie made a batch of sorbet for her children. Nothing fancy — just real sorbet, made properly, with raspberries from their own garden. A decade later, Baboo is still here. Still made by hand in the lab in Rampisham. Still small batch. Still real with the finest ingredients.
We've been thinking for a while about how to mark ten years properly, and the answer in the end was: with the people who got us here. So that's what May is for.
How we're celebrating
We've made a flavour — Birthday cake gelato, Annie's Special for May. It goes live at 10am, Tuesday 19th May. Real homemade birthday cake — baked from scratch by Annie — blended right into our signature gelato base, then studded with generous chunks of cake and a flurry of rainbow sprinkles in every scoop. It's nostalgic, joyful, and tastes exactly like the best bit of a birthday party (you know, the corner slice with extra icing). As always, Annie's Specials are made in a very small batch, once it's gone, it's gone!

We're putting together a short look back at the last ten years — from a Piaggio at the markets to where we are now. That one drops on Friday 29 May.
Annie sat down for her own film too — on why she started Baboo, what she's learnt, and what she wants to say to everyone who's been part of it. That lands on Saturday 30 May.
We've asked some of the customers, stockists, chefs, team and suppliers who've been part of the journey to send us a few words. We're putting those together into a short film, which will land on Sunday 31 May.
One place for all of it
We've made a page on the website where everything is being gathered as it lands. The Birthday Cake page is already there, and the videos will go up through the month as they drop. If you want to follow along, that's where to look.

Thank you, genuinely, for being part of the last ten years. It means a great deal.
